Stiven Shala

Stiven is currently in his fourth year of studying Medicine at the Catholic  University Our Lady of Good Counsel. He started being an activist in the city of Shkodra, where he was originally born. His engagement as a volunteer started at the Albanian Organisation of the Order of Malta in Shkodra, working on medical and social issues. For almost three years, Stiven was a member of the Youth Advisory Group of the OSCE Presence in Albania and he was responsible for youth mainstreaming in the programs and activities of the Presence. Stiven served as the first Albanian Youth Delegate to the United Nations and was part of the official delegation of the Republic of Albania to the 74th General Assembly. Stiven was the first Albanian delegate to address the third committee on behalf of Albania. Currently, he is a Public Policy Analyst at the organization called Civic Resistance. Stiven’s areas of interest include youth empowerment as well as sustainable development and peace and security processes.
